My Jury Duty GIF Experience

I had jury duty this morning!! I was so excited but I didn’t make the jury duty cut! Bummed. Probably didn’t help that I couldn’t stop grinning like an idiot! I arrived to the courtroom probably a little too excited about being involved:

When the little introductory video began I couldn’t help but think about: “War. Terrible war.” Hehe.

Then my number & name was called to sit on the bottom row of the panel

During some preliminary questions I got “promoted” to the back row which must always be complete with 6 jurors!

Then came about an hours worth of questions from both sides of the case & I would raise my hand, answer, nod my head in agreement/disagreement all while not being able to stop smiling. Questions like: “Do you believe that anyone has the right to be affected by domestic violence?” Me:

Then came the final cut of jurors & I was dreading hearing my name called!

But of course my name was the first one called out…and I walked out of the courtroom looking back sadly at my seat which was already being given to someone else

And that was my exciting jury duty adventure!! Still can be called back during next month as well but I highly doubt I will. At least I got to experience it!
